Mona Dugo is the Interim Dean of Students at Northwestern University where she has served as the Senior Associate Dean of Students since December of 2012. She is a social worker by training and spent the first twelve years of her higher education career providing mental health services in university counseling centers as well as running a McNair Scholars program at Knox College. At Northwestern, she was hired to create the case management program called Student Assistance and Support Services (SASS) as well as oversee the medical leave of absence program. The SASS program is now staffed by an additional three assistant deans and a program coordinator. She also manages the Dean on Call program. As Interim Dean of Students she also oversees Conduct, Disability Services, Off Campus Life, CARE (a prevention and advocacy program for survivors of sexual assault), SASS and New Student and Family Programs. Mona was the previous chair of the Operations Committee at HECMA and has been a member since joining Northwestern Universities Dean of Students office.
