Training and Development Committee
The Training and Development Committee is charged with identifying the professional development needs of our membership and implementing initiatives to address these needs. Specifically, the committee looks to support the development of opportunities for case manager to gain necessary skills and competencies to develop as professionals, and provides expertise for the Association in the areas of continuing education, professional competencies, standards, and professional development.
Webinars and trainings
One of the Training and Development Committee's major initiatives this year as been the development and implementation of webinars. We are thrilled that at the conclusion of the 2016-2017 academic year we will have provided 12 webinars, and hope it is the foundation of an affordable and relevant continuing training opportunity for case managers.

Development of resources
We are always looking to identify helpful resources for members. If you have a recommendation of a great book, article, journal, webinar, training, or Association, please let us know! We are also working on implementing some of our own resources as an Association. If you are interested on the development of resources for case management, please contact our committee chair at training@hecma.org.

Ethical standards
As case managers, it is critical that we have ethical standards to guide our work. A sub-group of the Training and Development Committee is working to finalize a draft of ethical standards for case managers. If you are interested in assisting with this project, please contact our committee chair at training@hecma.org.
