Kelly Soucy serves as the Director of Student Emergency Services in the Office of the Dean of Students at the University of Texas at Austin. In this role, Kelly is responsible for leading a non-clinical case management team to provide support to students during a crisis. She also serves as the co-chair for the behavioral intervention team. Prior to UT, Kelly worked in new student programs, residential life, and violence prevention at mid to large-size public institutions. Through her various roles, Kelly has served as a crisis responder and has become passionate about supporting staff members working with individuals impacted by trauma. This has led to her interest in researching secondary trauma in student affairs first responders. Kelly is currently working on her Executive Ed.D. at the University of Texas. She has a M.S.W. from University of Missouri Kansas City and a M.A. in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University.
