Allison Leventhal

Allison Leventhal (she/her) joins the HECMA faculty cohort with over 10 years of experience working in Higher Education. Allison is a proud two time alumna of the University at Albany (SUNY) where she completed her masters in Mental Health Counseling. During her training Allison felt a strong connection to the transformative & very practical work done by the foremothers of Case Management.

In 2015, Allison joined the Johns Hopkins University as the inaugural Undergraduate Case Manager. After several years she transitioned to supporting the graduate population and now has added disability services to her portfolio. At the University level she has led initiatives around addressing food insecurity and mentored several new Case Managers in other divisions.

As a native of Queens, New York, Allison enjoys traveling, cooking, community activism & metalsmithing. She lives in Baltimore, MD with her partner & their menagerie of animals.
