Description: Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Summer Programs, the Director of Summer Programs Student Life is responsible for the planning and implementation of campus life operations for Berklee Summer Programs, which provides enriching educational opportunities for middle-school- age youth, high-school-age youth, and adults in both the College and Boston Conservatory divisions. The role serves as the primary point of contact for families and participants related to summer programs campus life and is responsible for oversight of all aspects of summer program housing (billing, assignments, contracts, etc.). With the goal of ensuring a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for participants, the position also collaborates with the Residence Education and Campus Life teams to deliver a comprehensive summer programming calendar, serves as the lead hearing officer for summer program residents who violate the Code of Conduct, and assists with student crisis response, hospital trip participation, and intervention. While the heaviest workload of the position is during the summer when programs are in session, the role in the off-season involves participation in multiple preparation meetings to shape the student experience for the upcoming programs as well as managing the Student Health Record system, maintaining immunization and other health compliance for the student body, leading the recruitment, hiring training and management of a large summer residence and campus life team that make up the essential temporary summer workforce, and providing extensive aid and oversight in the shaping of the student experience.
